Practical, Basic and Action Research
Nature of Inquiry and Research
Identifying the Inquiry and Stating the Problem
Once we have lined up some titles or topics in mind, our teacher can help us figure out which among the list we have written can turn into an academic study. This portion of the brochure can help up formulate the Introduction, the Background of the Study, the Objectives of the Study, and the Statement of the Problem. These guidelines are somehow similar to the guidelines we have studied in Practical Research 1.
Conceptual Framework and Review of Related Literature
How to picture out the concept of our research is one of the focus of this materials. Knowing how to put variables in our study is an important skill and entails understanding of our research not only for us but for the readers. Another concern of this material is citing readings or literature from different sources. These readings will facilitate in creating analysis from the data gathered, as well as forming concrete solution for our study.
Ways of Gathering Data in the New Normal
The old ways of gathering data by providing hard copy of survey and questionnaire forms to respondents could be a least option when there is pandemic that puts in danger both the researcher and the participants. Face-to-face interaction or interview may not be practical when long distance interaction is an issue. Nevertheless, the new normal offers alternatives so that research can still go on and still provides development to school, institutions and companies.
Statistical Tools in Doing Action Research
Statistical Tools in Doing Action Research
Statistics is the sister of research, without which, the findings of a study, specifically those that deals with figures or numbers, cannot be conclusively established. What a layman can see as significantly may not be true when studied deeply using statistical tools.
